Text messages from 5280 Access
This page describes what messages 5280 Access sends via SMS, how to opt in, how to opt out, and what to expect. It's posted publicly per US carrier requirements for A2P 10DLC compliance.
Who sends the messages
Messages are sent by 5280 Access LLC, a Denver, Colorado access-control and security-camera company, from our business phone number (510) 322-2377. They're transactional only — never marketing, never promotional, never automated bulk sends.
What kinds of messages we send
- PIN deliveries. When you or your team are added as authorized callers at a property, we may text the four-digit PIN so you can identify yourself when you call (510) 322-2377.
- Call summaries. After a support call between you and Jerry the AI, we may send a one- or two-sentence summary plus the resolution status so you have a written record.
- Troubleshooting documents. During or after a call, you may explicitly ask Jerry to text you a wiring diagram, part number, installation guide, or vendor link. The text follows your request.
- Service follow-ups. If you asked us to circle back the next day to confirm a fix held, we may text to check in.
- Account alerts. Service-impacting events that affect your property (rare).
How you opt in
You will only receive SMS messages from us if you explicitly opted in via one of these clearly-disclosed channels:
- Account signup at portal.5280access.com/signup — a checkbox labeled "I consent to receive SMS messages from 5280 Access for account-related communications."
- Account settings at portal.5280access.com/settings — the "Text messages" card lets you toggle SMS on or off any time.
- The contact form on 5280access.com — a checkbox to receive SMS about your specific inquiry.
- Texting an opt-in keyword (START, SUBSCRIBE, JERRY, or SUPPORT) to (510) 322-2377.
Each opt-in is recorded with the date and source so you (and we) have a clear audit trail.
How you opt out
You can stop receiving messages from us at any time by:
- Replying STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, OPTOUT, or STOPALL) to any message we send. We'll send one confirmation reply and never message you again unless you re-opt-in.
- Toggling off the "Text messages" preference in your account settings.
- Emailing 5280@5280access.com to request removal.

Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies — typically a few messages per support call (if you've opted in) and none in between. There is no recurring or scheduled broadcast. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile plan with your carrier; 5280 Access does not charge for SMS.
Privacy
Your phone number and consent state are stored only to fulfill these messages and the contractual purposes you signed up for. We never sell your information. Full details in our Privacy Policy. By opting in, you also agree to our Terms of Service.
